The NP OM program continues to grow! Twenty-seven teams from fifteen different district schools will represent NPSD at the SEPA OM tournament on Saturday, February 28th at Temple Ambler Campus. On these teams there are 158 North Penn students, ranging from kindergartners to seniors, coached by 41 parent volunteers. Students from these schools are participating in the tournament: Bridle Path ES, Gwyn Nor ES, Gwynedd Square ES, Inglewood ES, Kulp ES, Montgomery ES, Nash ES, North Wales ES, Oak Park ES, Walton Farm ES, York Avenue ES, Pennbrook MS, Penndale MS, Pennfield MS and NPHS.
*** UPDATE *** Fourteen teams advanced to the State Finals, held at Pocono Mountain School District on March 28th. All these teams proudly represented North Penn Odyssey of the Mind! Two teams advanced to the World Finals which will be held May 27th - May 30th at Iowa State University! These talented and creative teams are from York Avenue ES and Bridle Path ES. “Life’s a Ball” for York Avenue who built a balsa wood structure and threw a party to celebrate! Things went “off the rails” for Bridle Path who built a train engine vehicle that experienced difficulties but got back on track!
