Dear Parents & Guardians,
I hope you are having a great start to the school year! As you know, from my Back to School Night message, we are a School-Wide Title 1 building. I am writing to you with the annual Title 1 information that is shared with families each school year.
What is Title 1?
Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards.
A Title 1 schoolwide program is a comprehensive program used to improve the complete educational program in a Title 1 school. The federal funds help raise academic achievement for all the students. The goal is to ensure all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate at least proficient levels of achievement and continue to make growth.
What is the purpose of the Title 1 Plan?
The Title 1 Plan is a required document developed by input from all stakeholders, that serves as a school improvement plan. This plan details areas of growth each year for the school and is used to measure the progress throughout the year. Our Title One Plan can be viewed on our website. Our Title One goals for this year are creating engaging lessons for our students, designing coherent instruction and creating a positive culture with our families and school community.

The Index includes a range of assessment, on-track, and readiness indicators, to more accurately report student learning, growth, and success in the classroom and beyond.
