Hybrid Student Meal Information

School Nutrition Services is excited to see students back in our buildings! The information below includes updates to our program and what your student can expect from School Nutrition Services this school year. All students will be offered breakfast and lunch daily in school. Breakfast and lunch are FREE for all our students through June 30, 2021! 

 

Overview

  • Students will be offered breakfast and lunch each day they are in school. All meals are FREE for the entire 2020-2021 school year. This excludes any a la carte items. Students are allowed one breakfast and one lunch, daily. No double meals at this time. 
  • Hybrid students can also continue to pick up curbside meal bundles for the days they will be learning virtually. For information about our curbside pick-up program, please visit our Free Curbside Pick-Up for Virtual Learners webpage.
  • Hybrid monthly menus can be found on our Monthly Menu webpage and nutrition information can be accessed at SchoolCafe.com.

Elementary School Students

Breakfast

  • Students will be offered breakfast as they enter the school building. Kiosks will be set up at each entrance to encourage social distancing.
  • All students will eat breakfast in their classroom. 

Lunch

  • Students will preorder lunch with their teacher during attendance in the morning. 
  • Lunch may be in the cafeteria and gym at each school. Students will be assigned seats in these spaces and sit 6ft apart.
  • Lunches will be delivered to students' seats instead of using the serving lines. This will keep students socially distanced and allow students more time to eat their meals. 
  • All meals will be prepackaged and include utensils, napkin and condiments (if needed). 
  • Cafeteria and gym tables and chairs will be cleaned in between each lunch. 

Menu, Offerings and Options

  • H1 days and H2 days menus will match. This is so our students get their favorite meals in school and hybrid students will not miss out! 
  • Our menus will be limited to two options daily.
  • Vegetarian options will be available daily, please see the menu for details.

Food Allergies

  • All of our food is peanut and treenut free!
  • If you child has another food allergy, please instruct them to go to the cafeteria in the morning for an allergen free meal, or to not pick up a breakfast at all. 
  • At lunch, with our preorder forms from teachers we will be checking for any students with allergies. Please make sure all of your allergy information is up to date with us and the school nurse. School Nutrition Services requires a Medical Care Plan from a physician for substitutions in our meal program. Please visit our Student Allergies webpage for more information and the form. 

Middle School Students

Breakfast

  • Students will be offered breakfast as they enter the school building. Kiosks will be set up at entrances and at the cafeteria to pick up breakfast.

Lunch

  • Lunch will be in the cafeteria and gym. Students will be assigned seats and sit 6ft apart.
  • Students will go to kiosks or through the serving line to pick up meals. 
  • All meals will be prepackaged. No self serve items will be available. 
  • Currently, we will have a limited menu with 2-3 meal choices per day. Vegetarian options will be available daily.

North Penn High School Students

Breakfast

  • Students will be offered breakfast as they enter the school building. The breakfast cart will be available at the main entrance and the cafeteria will be pick up locations for breakfast. 

Lunch

  • All lunches will be in the cafeteria. Plexiglass dividers will be on each table and students will have assigned seats.
  • Students may preorder lunch in the morning on SchoolCafe.com and have fast pass pick up at 2 locations in the cafeteria. For preorders, students must create their own student account on SchoolCafe.com or download the free app. Preorders must be in each day prior to 8:30am.

  • Students who do not preorder, will pick up meals in the cafeteria serving lines.
  • All meals will be prepackaged. No self serve items will be available. 
  • Currently, we will have a limited menu with 2-3 meal choices per day. Vegetarian options will be available daily.

Friday 2-Hour Early Dismissal

  • On 2 hour early dismissals, students can pick up a grab and go lunch as they leave the building. No sit down lunch will be offered on Fridays.
